Boxcar Arts Creative Director Tim Ruland is a Sublette County, Wyoming native. Ruland worked as a reporter and photographer for the Pinedale Roundup while finishing up high school and then attended the University of Wyoming where he played around with digital camcorders and wrote, directed and shot an adaptation of Irvine Welsh's "Snuff." Upon graduation, he took a job again as a reporter and photographer with the Roundup and later added graphic design his list of duties. After five years he quit and went to work for the Sublette Examiner. Here he worked soley as a graphic designer and was acknowledged by the Wyoming Press Association for his work. Ruland currently works for the Pinedale Fine Arts Council, a 30-year-old non-profit organization, as their Outreach Coordinator. In addition to his role as a liaison between local schools and the arts, he serves as graphic designer for the organization and has re-designed their website, produced numerous brochures & posters and puts together a quarterly newsletter. He started Boxcar Arts in December of 2007.
